Jr Carpenter Construction Apprentice Assistant- Growing in the fields of carpentry, building mechanics, building maintenance & customer relations. Wanting to learn more but must come with skills.   • Task & Trade Auxiliaries- Assistance focus

  • Skilled Craftsmen Expectations- All skilled craftsmen are expected to have a knowledge of
    • Drywall- Installation, Demo, Finishing
    • Painting- Cutting, prep, cleanup, application, and design
    • Flooring Assist- Prepping, cutting, measuring, refinishing, painting, staining, installation (Training provided)
    • Cutting- Taking measurements both in person and via communications and creating an accurate product efficiently
  • Laborer Expectations- All labors are expected to have a knowledge of
    • Demo- Safely and efficiently removed existing materials preparing job sites for new construction
    • Measuring- Be able to take and record accurate measurements of various objects & spaces
    • Job Site Prep- Tape, tarp and prepare job sites for construction
    • Job Site Clean-Up- Clean up job sites, units and areas including broom, hand, by powerwasher, mechanically and with chemicals, if required
    • Basic Fixture Installation- Installation of basic fixtures including light switch plates, door knobs, shower heads and other standard household fixtures
    • Transportation & Distribution of Materials- Loading & unloading trucks, trailers, containers, pallets and other methods of material
    • movement. To physically & mechanically retrieve, dispatch and transport materials.
  • (Assist) Master Craftsmen Expectations- All master craftsmen are expected to have a knowledge of

      • Carpentry- Intimate knowledge of building and construction related design, production, and process
      • Basic Plumbing- Installation of fixtures, correction on issues, troubleshooting
      • Basic Electricity- Installation of fixtures, correction on issues, troubleshooting
      • Basic HVAC- Installation of vents, thermostats and related HVAC
      • Leadership- Communicate, organize and lead a group of labors & skilled craftsmen to complete job tasks
      • Basic Design- Vision in design concepts and implementing design to achieve a finished concept
  • Coding & Safety- Ensure your adhering to your knowledge of safety and code related issues. Ensure all building and construction related activities are to regulatory standards.
  • Travel- All Craftsmen employees are expected to have a truck/van/SUV. You will be expected to travel around the metro area to RE holdings, suppliers, trade shows and various marketing opportunities. Craftsmen will also be expected to haul/tow equipment like mixers, box-tailors & dump-trailers, within reason, as requested.
  • Communications- Client interactions conducted with confidence, knowledge, and friendliness.
    • All Craftsmen must have access to an Internet-enabled phone
    • Monitor their daily email 
    • Monitor their Asana task system daily
    • Organize their labor time
      • Tracking job hours
      • Receiving daily/weekly construction goals and completing them
      • Aiding in the sale, purchase, investment, estimation and quotation of RE
      • Creation of daily reports both verbal and textual
    • Creation of permitting related data
    • Nature of supplies lists for projects
    • Ground interaction with systems and contractors
    • Ground interaction with inspectors
    • Communication with tenants, labor and contractors through phone, digital, notice and in person.
  • Innovation- Craftsman will be expected to bring innovation to their profession.
    • Always explore ways to bring efficiency & minimize overhead of labor force
    • Always explore the means to bring efficiency & reduce cost of the supply chain
  • Education, Training & Expectations- Employee is expected to be receptive to both provided and seek furthering education on their own

 Must pass a number of background checks to work on corporate and end client projects. Must be able to pass drug test on request. Must pass basic education course on construction and be approved on site by your peers.
